Going freelance (again).

A few years ago, I thought going freelance was the thing for me - after 6 months, I soon realised it wasn’t. I went back into the familiar feeling of full time employment and lived out the next 4 and a half years loving every second of it.

As the title of this post would suggest, things have changed and i’ve taken the proverbial plunge once again.

After finding myself at quite the crossroads, I decided that (for now, at least) being freelance is best - giving time and space to putting my own needs first, focusing on my own wants.

Now, anyone who has ever been freelance or started their own business will know - that is utter bollocks. In the early stages, there is no sitting back and relaxing it. It is all admin, admin, admin. Networking, networking, networking. And then of course, doing the actual work you have been procured to do.

Luckily, I am a creature of habit who thrives off a bit of routine. And when I say a bit of, I mean, I need routine to survive or I end up having an exponential crisis.

So here I am, procrastinating from real life and trying to justify to myself re-building a little old blog is part of my marketing strategy. Nice one, Char.
